  • Our 100% pure beeswax is collected from only the freshest wax cappings.
  • Our beeswax can be used for candle making, crafts, sewing, quilting, woodworking, archery, fly fishing, lip balm, lotion, mustache wax, and more.
  • Pure beeswax candles burn longer, cleaner, and brighter than any other type, and are naturally aromatic with scents of honey and flower nectar.
  • Beeswax contains a natural, powerful protective substance called propolis, which shields beeswax from ever going bad.
  • The propolis in beeswax—which bees make by combining tree resin with wax flakes and pollen—has antimicrobial properties. The word comes from the ancient Greek “pro” (before) and “polis” (city), meaning “defense of the city.”
  • Bulk Beeswax is available. Please call to order as beeswax blocks vary by size. I can put together an order to meet your needs $7 per pound 6-20#, $6 per pound over 20#.

For millennia, beeswax has been used for a variety of purposes. Its usage is interwoven with our history, from preserving early writings to health remedies and topical salves—and from early jewelry-making (the “lost wax method”) to ceremonial candles and lighting our dwellings.

It has even been used throughout history in a special form of painting involving hot beeswax and color pigments (known as encaustic painting), enabling the painter to work with the resulting “paints” almost sculpturally.

Over 2,000 years ago, a renowned physician by the name of Galen created the first cosmetic cream, an emulsion of beeswax, olive oil, and rose water.

Medically speaking, recent research has focused on the antimicrobial properties of beeswax. A synergistic mixture of honey, beeswax, and olive oil makes an excellent antibacterial and antifungal skin treatment.

With so many uses, beeswax makes a wonderful addition to your home. From candle-making to crafts, from cosmetics to ointments, from bow string wax to fly tying, from making your own car wax to your own non-toxic furniture polish, the possibilities are endless.

Bernadette & Kent, OwnersKent, co-owner and beekeeper, collects this 100% pure beeswax when he harvests his honey. Bees use beeswax throughout their hives, but the purest wax in the hive—produced new each year—is used to cap each honeycomb cell. We’re delighted to offer you the freshest wax to be found in our hives.

With every purchase, you support a family business for whom bees are not just a way of life, but a passion. By supporting our beekeeping, you ensure that we’re able to maintain a happy, healthy population of local pollinators, whose benefits to our world extend far beyond honey itself.
